Why choose ".eu" for a personal website?

Well, I live by the river Meuse in Wallonie, Belgium,
but grew up in London, studied in Scotland,
have also worked in Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, China and Brazil,
my partner is from Poland,
we work mainly in english, and our children speak best French.

I have also led a european expert group in the UN climate negotiations and support some common european policies, culture and values, but this website has no connection to European institutions.

My work (climate change) is global and my first loyalties remain to scientific integrity and to the future of the whole planet.
